It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, which means it's also looking a lot like 2018 is right around the corner. Most businesses take this time out to celebrate and wind down but if you run a nonprofit or are part of the process of running one, you know that there's not a lot downtime when mission needs to be complete. In fact, most nonprofit "end of the year" is on June 30th, but that doesn't mean that you can't take this time to reflect and regain momentum.

In my thirty-five years on this earth I've learned a lot about myself in regards to relationships. I've learned that I tend to enter into relationships heart first and mental second, I give people the benefit of the doubt way too much, I say how I feel even when someone hasn't quite met that "level" to appreciate it (if I miss someone I tell them, want to see them I ask, mad I'll let you know) and I've learned that when your willing to put your heart out there, you have to be willing to take the joy and the pain.

1. From the outside it would look as if Im a extrovert but I'm truly an introvert. I would much rather chill with a small group of people then be around large crowds and being alone reenergizes me.
2, I believe in the idea of love but I'm scared to death of falling in it.
3. It's hard for me to see or function in "grey areas"...to me things are either rainbows or black.

Recently, the organization I work for was asked to virtually participate in promoting an upcoming rally to for women's issues. In the promotion packet we were asked to use Thunderclap so naturally I went to research it and couldn't believe that I never heard of it before. I mean the White House uses it so you know that it's dope!
